MPIC highlights paving, identifies bicycle-shoulder priorities and updates town center review
Summary

Sally Baybutt agreed to extract key recommendations from a 2014 RPC analysis of Rye road shoulders to identify high-priority sections for shoulder widening and to develop order-of-magnitude costs that MPIC could propose for inclusion in a future Capital Improvement Program. Baybutt also described a Bike Safety Day event she helped organize at RMS that was nominally sponsored by MPIC.
Jason Rucker provided a brief status update on the town center transportation improvement project, noting additional reviews underway for local impacts such as rights-of-way and existing stone walls; the project is moving forward but no fixed dates were provided.
Next steps: Baybutt will compile recommended shoulder-priority sections and rough costs for MPIC review; MPIC will continue to monitor the town center project's local-impact reviews.
