Main Street report outlines July downtown events and new shops in Royston

Michael Crump presented the Main Street report at the July 8 City of Royston meeting, outlining upcoming downtown events and recent business activity.
Crump said "Christmas in July" will include a movie on The Royce stage, vendors and shopping opportunities on July 25, 2025, from 5-9 p.m. He said Peach Petunia plans to open at 846 Church Street in a couple of weeks and that 958 Church St. hopes to be converted to apartments. He reported that renovations continue at 967 Church St. and that Georgia Legends has expressed interest in partnering on an amphitheater music event.
Crump also noted fall festival applications will be mailed in August, Clay Page is scheduled to perform at the amphitheater in September, and the Cut-A-Block downtown event is scheduled for Sept. 26. The mayor discussed a tentative BBQ cook-off date of Sept. 13, 2025.
