Jorgenson told the council the truck serves a population of roughly 13,000, provided mutual aid within two days of arrival and is the only vehicle in their state able to draft water for a drop tank.
At the same meeting the council accepted the resignation of volunteer firefighter and first responder Daryl Miller, effective Oct. 3, 2024. Council Member Jeff Clark moved to accept the resignation; Council Member Spencer Hunt seconded and the motion carried. Council members thanked Miller for his years of service to the Kandiyohi Fire Department.
