Fulton County commissioners Jeff Rupp and R.J. Lumbrezer met May 5, 2026, in the commissioners meeting room at 152 South Fulton Street in Wauseon and carried a series of routine measures, including the formal approval of minutes and county bills, adjustments to appropriations and two contracts.
The action list centered on procurement and budget housekeeping. The board approved minutes from the April 30 regular session and the day’s agenda as amended. The commissioners voted 2-0 on each recorded resolution; Commissioner Joe Short was recorded as absent for the meeting.
Most substantive action was the award of the Robert Fulton Building roof project. After bids were reviewed, Fulton County’s maintenance supervisor, David Lantz, recommended Damschroder Roofing, Inc. The board accepted that recommendation and approved awarding the contract in the amount of $137,172; a contract is to be issued following the formal award.
The board also approved appropriation adjustments, including an increase of $400 to the Gas–Maintenance line (1000-11700-5-35000) and a transfer of $28,738.71 from Rent–SWCD (9020-30905-5-34100) to Rent–MAR-MAY 26 Airport Storage Rent & 2nd Qtr. 26 (1000-18000-4-82000).
Commissioners authorized a procedural change to purchasing records, agreeing that a Purchase Order edit list prepared by the county auditor may be kept on file in the commissioners’ office in lieu of journalizing each individual purchase order, and they approved submitted travel requests.
The board entered Contract 2026-46 with Rock Solid Landscape, LLC for the 2026 lawn care season at a rate of $1,900 per mow; the resolution specifies that the contract shall not exceed $25,000 per year unless amended by formal proceedings.
