The Saint Peter Public Schools Board on Nov. 19 approved a series of operational items including a revised Food Service Master Agreement, the district’s Comprehensive Achievement and Civic Readiness (CACR) progress report, draft school calendars for 2026–27 and 2027–28, and eight policies as part of the district’s routine review.
Superintendent Jon Graff summarized the Food Service Master Agreement changes as aligning with budget goals set by the School Board Negotiations Committee and noted that the agreement had been ratified by food service personnel. Bill Kautt moved to approve the Food Service Master Agreement; Ken Rossow seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
High School Principal Annette Engeldinger provided a summary of progress toward CACR goals; Ken Rossow moved and Bill Kautt seconded approval of the CACR report. Drew Dixon moved, Kate Martens seconded adoption of Draft #2 of the 2026–2027 and 2027–2028 school calendars; both motions carried unanimously.
The board approved Policies 517, 518, 519, 520, 526, 528, 529 and 531 on a single reading after Graff noted they are part of the regular review cycle and contain minor or no changes. Revisions to Policy 527 (Student Use and Parking of Motor Vehicles; Patrols, Inspections, and Searches) were presented for a first reading and include language to allow students access to vehicles with parent permission during Junior and Senior Privilege and legal updates to align with model policy from MSBA.
Board members did not request additional conditions for implementation; administrative staff were assigned to follow up as needed.
