Wayne County engineer: S60 north of Seymour closed for paving; reopening after final subdrain and shoulder work

Wayne County Engineer Dillon Davenport reported to the Board of Supervisors on June 9 that county crews have completed a railcar culvert on Ohio Road, are working on four culverts on 200th Street north of Highway 2, and are conducting routine grading and rock hauling.
Davenport said two mowers are operating throughout the county and a backhoe with a mulcher head is working south of Cambria. He told the board that S60 north of Seymour is closed to traffic and will remain closed for an estimated six to eight more weeks for paving work. He said paving was progressing and is expected to be finished the week of June 14, weather permitting, but that subdrain installation and shoulder rocking would still be required before the highway can reopen.
The engineer’s report was received as a routine operations update; no formal action to change project scope or budget was recorded at the meeting.
