SW District Health director: agreement with Ida County advancing to boards for approval

Kevin Green, director of the Southwest District Health Department, told the board that a proposed agreement with Ida County for the provision of public-health services has been reviewed by both counties' attorneys and is expected to move through the district board of health and then to the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors for consideration.
"Both county attorney's offices have reviewed that and blessed it," Green said, and he said he planned to present the item to the district board of health the following day and to place it on the supervisors' agenda the next week.
Green offered the update as a courtesy to the supervisors so they would have advance notice of the upcoming agenda item. He invited questions and said staff would be available to provide additional information when the matter appears on the supervisors' agenda.
The board did not take formal action on the agreement in this meeting; the transcript records only the director's update and the plan to route the item for review and approval by the district board of health and then by the boards of supervisors.
