The Staples-Motley School Board on Sept. 22 approved a consent agenda that bundled routine business including minutes, multiple fundraiser requests, the resignations of Taylor Miller (elementary paraprofessional) and Ezra Johnson (IT technician), revised 2025'1026 school meal prices and advisor agreements.
Separately, the board approved a slate of hires listed on the consent agenda, including multiple assistant and head coaches, paraprofessionals and activity supervisors. The approved hires included, among others, Ashley Orth (assistant cross country coach), Brad Anderson (head boys/girls golf coach), Teneesa Mumm (school readiness teacher), several elementary and middle/high paraprofessionals, and multiple weight-room and coaching supervisors.
The board also approved a resolution accepting grants and donations totaling $10,300; donors named in the minutes included Staples Lions Club, LEAP Inc., Costa Azul Mexican Bar & Grill, Japke Decorating & Carpet, Central Building Supply, Jon's Family Foods, Hubbard's Hardware, Holst Acres, Staples Hardware LLC, Ernie's Foods and Twin Cities Orthopedics. Motion to approve the consent agenda was made by board member Reeck and seconded by Wright; the motions were recorded as carried.
