The Woodbury County Board of Supervisors on a 5-0 vote approved a three-year contract with Cost Advisory Services Inc. to calculate the county’s indirect-cost rates, County Auditor Michelle Skav told the board.
Skav described the agreement as a routine form the county has used for several years to compute indirect costs that allow departments to claim federal grant reimbursements. “For DHS, we receive about $250,000 annually because of this,” Skav said, adding that the contract cost of $7,000 is “well worth it.” She also said the service helps the Sheriff’s Office recover allowable indirect costs on grants.
The contract covers three years and is intended to support accurate federally reimbursable indirect-cost claims for multiple departments. Nelson moved approval; Bettinger seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
The board did not request additional information before the vote. The contract was signed to permit ongoing grant reimbursements and related fiscal reporting.
