Lloyd said the Traffic Calming Committee will be educated on the policy and the repertoire of measures available to calm traffic; he identified the committee members and noted there is one vacant position representing District 4. Assistant Chief Price joined the presentation to detail the new school-zone additions.
During discussion, Alderman Nick Palumbo offered Ms. Caila Brown as the District 4 appointee to fill the vacancy. Mayor Van R. Johnson II suggested amending the regular meeting agenda to add Ms. Brown’s board appointment for formal consideration. The work session minutes do not record a formal vote to appoint Brown; the suggestion was to add the appointment to the subsequent regular meeting agenda.
