Commissioner Ted Handrich and others raised concerns about potential damage to existing fairgrounds buildings and liability risks; Commissioner Varner highlighted the need to review liability exposure. The board discussed signage and closure procedures for special events to prevent user conflicts.
No formal vote was taken; presenters and staff were encouraged to continue planning and to provide additional details on liability coverage, course layout and event coordination at a future meeting.
