The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors voted on June 25 to amend the use of proceeds for its Improvement Revenue Note, Series 2024, and to approve an estimate from MRI Construction, Inc. for dry retention flow‑way ditch cleaning adjacent to River Course holes 6 through 8.
On a motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Terry Mountford, the board adopted Resolution 2024‑05, authorizing an amendment to the loan agreement with Synovus Bank to revise the project scope for the Series 2024 note. The board also approved the MRI Construction estimate in the amount of $173,367.78; both motions were recorded “with all in favor.”
District Manager Chuck Adams told the board that loan proceeds will cover the drainage projects identified in the original scope and that staff included the irrigation project with a 10% contingency when revising the scope. The district tabled discussion of a separate well installation estimate from McCullers Construction Services & Consulting, LLC for $277,550; that item was deferred for future reconsideration and no vote was taken.
Why it matters: The loan amendment reallocates Series 2024 financing to make funds available for immediate drainage work, and the board’s approval of the MRI estimate commits the district to a vendor and a defined scope of ditch‑cleaning work totaling $173,367.78. The moves set up operational work to address neighborhood drainage, which the board linked to the district’s capital financing plan.
Votes and follow up: Resolutions and contract authorizations were approved by unanimous voice votes as recorded in the meeting. Staff will proceed with arrangements for the ditch work under the approved estimate, and the board will monitor budget impacts under the revised Series 2024 note.
