District Engineer Charlie Krebs said he inspected the area after PSGRC General Manager Eric Long provided videos and that MRI inspected the next day, removing leaves from a grate and flushing debris from pipes. Krebs identified blockages in some Pinehurst drains—he said they may be “above 25%” in places—and told the board he will have MRI clean the inlets.
Chair Bob Schultz asked Krebs to prepare a written plan describing how the problem will be resolved and an estimated timeline, and to provide that plan to the board, Mr. Long and the Pinehurst neighborhood representative. The engineer’s near‑term steps reported to the board were field cleaning and debris removal; longer‑term structural fixes and a redesign were discussed as community requests but not adopted at the meeting.
