Board declines to submit LSA ambulance grant this round, will choose project for next application

The board discussed a Local Share Account (LSA) grant option to fund a new ambulance for Topton Community Ambulance but concluded the Nov. 30 application deadline did not allow sufficient time to assemble the required documentation.
Supervisor Mike Sacks raised the available grant and Office Administrator Allison Fuller explained the application timeline and that the township has multiple eligible projects that could be proposed. Tyrene Christman, the Topton Community Ambulance representative, outlined the specifics needed for the township to file the application on the ambulance service's behalf. After discussion the board agreed not to pursue the application this year and to decide which township project to propose in the next LSA cycle.
Ending: The board left the matter open for a future decision about which project to target for LSA funding; no application will be submitted for this grant cycle.
