Longswamp supervisors approve $182,430.71 in bills, acknowledge $4.04 million in township funds

The Longswamp Township Board of Supervisors voted Oct. 22 to approve $182,430.71 in bills and $14,436.67 in fund transfers for the Oct. 9–22 payment period.
Chairman Don Hickman reviewed the Treasurer’s Report for September, which showed $2,610,553.12 in General Funds and $1,430,449.02 in Additional Funds, for a combined balance of $4,041,002.14. “The Treasurer’s Report for September 2024 indicated $2,610,553.12 total Township General Funds for this period; $1,430,449.02 total Township Additional Funds for this period; for a total of $4,041,002.14 in total account funds for the period,” Hickman stated when presenting the report. Supervisor Mike Sacks moved to approve the report subject to further audit; the motion carried.
The board also approved release of four on‑lot sewer escrow refunds totaling $4,192.22 from the SWMF account. Supervisor Sacks moved to approve the escrow releases; Don Hickman seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously.
The motion to approve processing of bills and transfers carried on a roll call vote in which Sacks and Hickman voted yes. The board recorded routine minutes motions earlier in the meeting and acknowledged verification of the September bank reconciliations, dated Oct. 16, 2024, signed by Chairman Hickman.
The approvals were routine financial housekeeping; the board recorded that all fiscal approvals remain subject to later audit.
