The Two Harbors City Council on June 8 carried a package of actions to advance the Lighthouse Point Road street and utility project.
Council authorized administration to execute the Commissioner of Transportation grant from the Local Road Improvement Fund for the project. Council then approved awarding the construction contract to Northland Constructors in the amount of $2,694,400 and approved construction engineering services from Bolton & Menk for an amount not to exceed $246,890. Each measure passed on a unanimous roll-call vote.
Motion authors recorded in the meeting minutes: the grant authorization was moved by Councilor Glaser and seconded by Mayor Conner; the contract award was moved by Councilor Glaser and seconded by Councilor Heil; the construction engineering approval was moved by Councilor Redden and seconded by Mayor Conner.
