The Two Harbors City Council on Sept. 22 voted to refer to the Finance Committee a Bolton & Menk proposal to provide preliminary engineering services to facilitate the relocation of the Edna G tugboat for $155,600.
Administrator Nordean had requested the agenda language be changed to refer the Bolton & Menk proposal to the Finance Committee. On the floor, Councilor Glaser moved the referral and Councilor Redden seconded; the motion (Resolution No. 09-412-25) carried on a unanimous vote of members present.
The action is a referral for further review; no contract award was approved. The Finance Committee will review scope, costs and funding options before the council considers authorizing any contract.
