Members said the ordinance is a priority on the EAC list and would be used alongside other development-contingency tools the council is considering, such as tree screens, roofing and siding materials, and lighting restrictions. The ordinance was discussed in the context of the EAC's broader priorities, which also include household recycling, annual chemical recycling, and measures to reduce tractor-trailer traffic on Blue Mountain House Road.
No formal vote on the ordinance text was recorded at the May 21 meeting. The next procedural step recorded in the minutes is internal review by EAC members, after which the council will determine whether to forward a recommended draft to the Board of Supervisors.
