Clermont council accepts Rejuvtec bid for 2026 CCMG road project

The Town of Clermont Council on Jan. 8 unanimously accepted the only submitted bid for the town's 2026 County Community and Municipal Grant (CCMG) road project, awarding the work to Rejuvtec for $33,937.15 and signing the contract the same night.
Consultant Mitch Hansel of USI opened the bids and confirmed only Rejuvtec submitted a proposal. Councilors said the bid amount was within the estimated project budget. Councilor Lambard asked USI to follow up by email with specifics about areas that will need repair, citing heavy vehicle traffic on 30th Street from CSX vehicles, school buses and school-related trips.
Councilors discussed that the Rejuvtec scope does not include a warranty guaranteeing long-term road longevity; the council noted that both the project timeline and resident notification will be handled as the work is scheduled. Councilor Lambard moved to accept the bid; Councilor Lemaire seconded, and the motion passed by recorded vote with Councilors Beam, Lambard, Lemaire, Sauro and Topf voting Aye. The contract was executed by the council that evening.
The council did not take additional formal action on related sidewalk or INIP items at the meeting; the Streets report noted that a separate INIP project was cancelled and the town intends to pursue some work independently.
