Montezuma council adopts Watershed Protection Plan for Spring Creek

Council Member Charles Ivey moved to accept the consent agenda; Council Member Cleveland Hobbs seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The minutes of the Aug. 13, 2024 regular meeting were included on the consent agenda and approved as submitted. The Watershed Protection Plan is listed in the meeting minutes as “Dated: November 202, Revised August 2024” and a copy was provided to each council member; the original November date in the minutes is not specified.
During the public comment portion, Kim Davis, speaking on behalf of the group Concerned Citizens, said the group is interested in assisting with the Montezuma Downtown Christmas Parade. No formal action on the parade was recorded; it was noted as a citizen offer of volunteer help.
The meeting adjourned after the vote. Mayor Johnson and council members announced the next regular meeting will be held Oct. 15, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.
