Morrow City Council approves Feb. 25 minutes, hears police recertification

Mayor John J. Lampl II called the March 11, 2025 regular meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. at the Morrow Municipal Complex. He noted that Councilwoman Dorothy Dean and Councilwoman Hue Nguyen were present; Mayor Pro Tem Renee S. Knight and Councilman Khoa Vuong were absent and excused.
Councilwoman Dorothy Dean moved to approve the consent agenda, including adoption of the Feb. 25 regular meeting and work-session minutes; Councilwoman Hue Nguyen seconded. Dean, Nguyen and Mayor Lampl each voted “Aye,” and the motion passed.
Chief of Police Michael Crumpler announced that the City of Morrow Police Department was approved for recertification by the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police, a professional recognition of department compliance with the association’s standards.
The meeting included a Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence led by Mayor Lampl. After brief general comments, Mayor Lampl adjourned the meeting at 7:37 p.m.
The minutes from Feb. 25 were recorded as adopted, and the police recertification was noted on the council’s docket; no other formal actions or votes were taken during the session.
