Morrow council approves two Public Works pickups, appoints members to boards

During its Feb. 25 regular meeting, the City of Morrow Mayor and City Council approved several routine new-business items including vehicle purchases and board appointments.
The council approved the Public Works Department recommendation to purchase two pickup trucks: a 2021 Ford F-150 XLT priced at $32,998 and a 2022 Ford F-150 XLT priced at $37,998. Councilman Khoa Vuong moved approval of the purchase and Councilwoman Hue Nguyen seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The council also approved appointments recommended by the city manager. The council appointed David Roest to the Planning and Zoning Board for a five-year term beginning Feb. 25, 2025, and reappointed Bonita Crawford to the Downtown Development Authority Board for a four-year term beginning Feb. 25, 2025. Councilwoman Renee S. Knight moved approval of these appointments and Councilman Khoa Vuong seconded; the motions passed unanimously.
Separately, the minutes note two public recognitions presented by the mayor and that the Morrow Police Department recertification item was deferred to a future meeting. The meeting concluded with general comments and adjournment at 8:23 PM.
