Public Works approves library, museum and park project contracts and accepts completed works

The committee also awarded project 25‑1580 (Dinosaur Discovery Museum furnace replacement) to J and H Heating Incorporated for $73,450; staff said funding for the museum work is through the museum’s CAB.
The committee accepted completion of the Lincoln Park basketball courts (project 24.026) built by Wanaset Corporation; staff reported a final contract amount of $381,893.31 and noted a $200,000 contribution from a grant source. Parks staff said they expect a spring ribbon‑cutting. “They're very blue if you haven't seen them,” the parks representative said of the new courts.
Finally, the committee accepted completion of Fire Station 2 renovations (project 25‑1575) by Stuckey Construction Company with a final contract amount of $34,100.
Why it matters: these capital and maintenance actions commit or recognize expenditures and move projects toward operation or payment; the library contract still requires library board approval. All items were approved by voice vote.
