Staff said several projects finished under budget, freeing funds to address higher‑priority items that lacked sufficient funding: additional components for the Roosevelt splash pad, reconstruction and striping to provide one tennis court striped for two regulation‑size pickleball courts at Roosevelt, and replacement playground equipment. Staff described using remaining grant funds and savings from completed projects to advance needed work.
A motion to approve the CIP amendment was made, seconded and the board approved it by voice vote. Staff indicated the reallocation is meant to allow the department to address deferred maintenance and equipment replacement without increasing the overall CIP appropriation.
