Ocilla council adopts new city code on second reading

Mayor Matt Seale and the Ocilla City Council adopted an ordinance enacting a new code for the City of Ocilla on second reading at the Dec. 7 meeting.
The mayor reviewed the ordinance and Councilwoman Mona Paulk moved to adopt it; Councilman Steven Hudson seconded. The council recorded a 4–0 vote in favor and the motion carried. Councilwoman Patrice Y.W. Manley had left the meeting before the vote was taken.
The adoption replaces the city's existing code with the newly enacted compilation; the transcript records no additional amendments or implementation dates in the meeting minutes. The council moved on to other agenda items after the vote.
