Budget committee chair Alison Wakelin presented a suggested 2025 budget for feedback, noting the principal recommended change is increasing the Arden Page allocation from $600 to $800 because costs have risen. The committee also proposed adding an extra $200 in the current year to help offset immediate costs.
Town Treasurer Peter Slattery reported account balances as of Nov. 11: checking $8,727.02 and savings $23,298.05, for a combined total of $32,025.07. He noted expenses of $7,907.24 for the year to date and listed other funds held by the village, including Municipal Street Aid ($25,320.42) and ARPA funds ($61,307.92).
A motion to add the additional $200 donation to the Arden Page in the current 2024 Ardentown budget was moved, seconded and approved; the minutes record the vote as “All in favor.” The minutes state that 2024 actuals are not yet finalized but that year‑to‑date figures appear close to budgeted amounts and that some committee expense accounts historically come in under budget.
