Shelley Robyn reported at the Feb. 10 Ardentown meeting that the Buzz Ware Village Center (BWVC) has received grant approval paperwork for a battery system and new solar panels. The original grant request included additional items (lighting and a new roof) and sought $200,000, but the approved award was $173,567; she said the grant scope will likely be modified to fit the awarded amount.
Robyn also summarized recent BWVC programming: the Dec. 6 Holiday Art Loop had about 75 attendees (fewer than previous years), the Gallery opened Dec. 20 for a small event, and the Feb. 7 Art Loop supports the second annual Young Artisans show. She outlined upcoming Coffee House events, recurring classes (Monday Night Art Studio, Tai Chi, yoga), and the Arden Bookies monthly meeting, which reported 15 attendees and $56.50 in donations in December.
The minutes do not record formal action to accept grant funds but note receipt of grant paperwork; any project modifications and contracting will follow usual BWVC and trustee procedures.
