The Town of Chebeague Island Selectboard voted June 3 to approve special-amusement and victualers licenses for two local venues.
Eliza Jane Adams moved to approve a license for the Chebeague Island Community Hall; David Hill seconded the motion and the board voted "All in Favor; Motion Carried." Later in the meeting Richard Hackel moved to approve the Slow Bell Café license contingent on changing the listed manager to Jonathan Komlosy; Ehrhardt Groothoff seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The approvals followed a public hearing on the licenses that the Selectboard opened at 7:15 p.m. and closed at 7:20 p.m.; the minutes record that no members of the public spoke during that hearing. The minutes do not record conditions beyond the Slow Bell Café's manager-name contingency, and they do not specify effective dates or licensing fees.
The Selectboard conducted the votes as part of its regular business agenda and recorded the motions and seconders in the meeting minutes. The minutes do not record individual roll-call tallies beyond the notation "All in Favor; Motion Carried."
