At the Sept. 8 Ardentown meeting, the board re-elected members to several committees and trustees reported operational updates.
The Budget Committee seats for Sept. 2025–Sept. 2027 were re-approved for Hilary Daye, Cindy Cohen, and Oliver Gutsche; the motion passed with votes recorded as 'All in favor.' Registration Committee member Anne Lutz completed her term and Hilary Daye was elected to the Registration Committee for a Sept. 2025–Sept. 2027 term; that motion also passed unanimously.
Trustees reported that the emergency generator at the Candlelight is installed and passed final electrical inspection; trustees funded exterior stair repairs while Candlelight covered interior upgrades. Trustees also reported receiving Ardentown’s initial combined NCC and Brandywine School District tax figures; no supplemental tax bill is expected at this time though additional legislative action may require updates to be provided at the November town meeting. Distribution of senior rebate checks was delayed pending the final tax bill.
Several residents and committee members were recognized for service and committee vacancies will be addressed at upcoming meetings.
