Glendo council sets special meeting to award demolition bid; awaits judge's decision on Old Hotel case

The Town of Glendo council announced a special meeting on Sept. 18, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. to award the contract for demolition of the property at 110 S. Yellowstone Hwy.
The action followed a review of bids submitted for the demolition; council members directed staff to publish notice and prepare the agenda for the special meeting. No award was made at the Aug. 13 regular meeting.
In Old Business, Town Attorney Eric Jones provided an update on the July 28 court session concerning the Old Hotel and said the council is still awaiting the judge's decision. The council recorded the attorney's summary but took no further formal action at the meeting.
The council also heard a brief presentation from Greg Burke of Keep Glendo Great about community beautification, grants and event support; that presentation did not change council direction on property matters.
