The Arcade City Council unanimously approved routine and administrative items at its Feb. 10, 2025 meeting, including approval of prior meeting minutes, adoption of an updated Planning and Zoning fee schedule, and authorization of a $25,000 contract to hire Jerry Weitz and Associates, LLC to develop the city’s impact-fee study.
Motions to approve the January 13, 2025 public hearing minutes and the January 13, 2025 City Council meeting minutes were made by Council Member Ron Smith, seconded by Council Member Tom Hays and passed unanimously. Council Member Ron Smith moved to approve the updated Planning and Zoning Fee Schedule (tabled Jan. 13); Tom Hays seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Council also approved a contract in the amount of $25,000 with Jerry Weitz and Associates, LLC to develop impact fees; the motion was made by Ron Smith, seconded by Jenny Buley and passed unanimously. Chief Mike Adams provided the police department report and recognized Christina Vaccaro as 2024 Officer of the Year and Sgt. Thomas Duncan as 2024 Officer of the Year. No citizens registered to speak. The meeting adjourned following a motion by Tom Hays, seconded by Cindy Bone, which passed unanimously.
