On the fire department request, the council reviewed two bids for a new pickup and noted a $1,000 difference between the offers from Neighbors Chevrolet (Warroad) and North Country GM (Hibbing). Councilor Dean Dorholt moved to purchase the pickup locally from Neighbors Chevrolet; Councilor Kevin Thompson seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
