Organizers of the Walnut Grove Village Fair asked the council April 14 for financial support and use of the city park for three Saturdays in July during the pageant.
Adrienne Kletscher was identified in the minutes as the event organizer. Presenters Connie Knott and Rick and Lori Wakefield requested the city’s assistance. The council agreed to allow use of the city park and serve as fiduciary agent for the event.
Dylan Albertson moved and Dale Shannon seconded a motion to approve a $2,000 contribution for children’s activities at the Village Fair. The motion passed unanimously, recorded in the minutes as "All voted in favor, motion carried."
