"We believe it's going to be a really really good system to help everybody in the in the entire county," Chad said, describing joint training and a board of directors to guide when the unit should activate.
The proposal calls for a detective-only unit that would train with participating agencies and use pooled tools and procedures to improve response coordination. Board members discussed the operational benefits of shared resources and approved the motion to form MCU 75.
The vote was recorded as "all in favor" and the board carried the motion. The board did not provide ordinance numbers or a timetable for implementation during the meeting; staff were expected to follow up with implementation details and any interlocal agreements required to formalize the unit.
