The board recognized district and Littleton Education Foundation award winners and approved two personnel appointments.
At the district showcase trustees and staff presented "Kid at Hope" and "Treasure Hunter" awards; winners and teachers were recognized along with LEAF-supported mini-grant recipients.
Later in the meeting the board considered personnel recommendations. The board approved Amanda Herrera as principal for Lakin Prep Academy (motion carried; vote recorded 5–1) and approved Richard McCormick as director of student services (unanimous). Trustees praised the candidates' district experience; Ms. Herrera and Mr. McCormick addressed the board and thanked members for the opportunity.
No substantive debate accompanied the hires; administration said both candidates have multi-year Littleton experience and record of school-level leadership. The board asked administration to ensure both new site leaders have adequate staff support and resources.
