Board honors community festival winners and approves two district leadership hires

The board approved Amanda Herrera as principal for Lakin Prep Academy (motion carried; vote recorded 5–1) and approved Richard McCormick as director of student services (unanimous). Trustees praised the candidates' district experience; Ms. Herrera and Mr. McCormick addressed the board and thanked members for the opportunity.
No substantive debate accompanied the hires; administration said both candidates have multi-year Littleton experience and record of school-level leadership. The board asked administration to ensure both new site leaders have adequate staff support and resources.
