The Coffey County Commission rescinded paragraph seven of its June 15, 2026 minutes and adopted corrected resolution number 2026-979, a measure establishing a reinvestment housing incentive district, adopting a development plan for housing and public facilities, approving a development agreement, and making related findings.
The board voted unanimously to rescind the earlier reference to resolution 2026-978 and then approved the correct document, with Commissioners Parker, McCreary, Thompson, Barker and Curry recording a 5-0 vote.
The resolution’s text cited a plan and development agreement for what the materials called a reinvestment housing incentive district; commissioners did not amend the substance of the resolution during discussion and directed staff to correct the clerical error in the official minutes.
The motion to rescind and the subsequent motion to approve the corrected resolution were both seconded and both carried without opposition. The commission indicated staff will ensure the corrected resolution and minutes are posted with the clerk’s office.
