Council offers sewer-cost split to resolve Hinckley Town sign boundary dispute

Hinckley’s Town Council on June 4 addressed a property-boundary discrepancy involving the town sign that sits on land owned by Aryn and Joshua Troseth and related sewer-line work for Parcel H-2077-2.
Council members reviewed town records and prior minutes that noted a past commitment by then-mayor Brian Florang to reimburse survey costs to adjust the town sign boundary. The council discussed sewer design plans that show a sewer manhole behind Caroline Palmer’s home but, in the field, only a cleanout exists.
To resolve the discrepancy and the sewer-system issue, council members proposed and agreed to split the material cost for the required sewer-line extension, based on a Mountainland Supply quote of $3,802.32. The Troseths would bear the installation costs for the extension. Mayor Alan Miller said he will deliver the town’s offer to Joshua Troseth.
The agreement discussed at the meeting is an offered resolution of costs and boundary adjustments; any final property transfer, survey work, or installation will require follow-up with the property owners and any necessary permits or easements.
