Members asked that Canva files be converted to the city’s requested landscape format for the running banner and digital signage.
Organizers discussed Dog Days operations in detail: music will be upbeat for the parade; the committee will use Bluetooth playlists if needed; face painters will be paid on the day of the event; volunteers were assigned for setup and concession staffing; and plans were confirmed for moving equipment from storage to the park. The committee learned a stage order had been canceled by the supplier after a late placement; staff reordered the stage and will notify members when it arrives, and members said they can run the event without a stage if necessary.
For the Fourth of July program, members confirmed activities including a bubble station, a drum circle, face painting, and live music. Sticky Fingers ice cream truck offered to attend provided it holds a City of Phoenix business license. The committee discussed canopy placement, table setup, and shared access to canopies from nearby groups (Indigo Creek/Blue Heron Park). Members also planned sandwich-board placement and a glass-case display a week before family-nature events such as the July 11 pollinator program.
The meeting closed with staff assigned to follow up on poster formatting, confirm stage delivery and vendor licenses, and ensure sandwich boards and the digital sign are set a week before events. The committee asked members to help with setup and post-event cleanup.
