The Lake Ridge New Tech Schools board on July 28 approved a personnel slate of resignations and new hires, accepted nonresident student transfers and approved the 2025–26 athletic trainer contract.
The personnel slate included multiple resignations (effective dates reported in the packet) and a group of new hires and assignments with effective dates in August. The superintendent noted that all new employment is contingent upon a cleared expanded criminal-history background check within 30 days and a cleared expanded child-protection index check within 60 days (IC 20-26-2-1.5; IC 20-26-2-1.3). The board moved to approve the personnel recommendations (motion by Miss Knees; second by Mr. Deal) and the motion carried.
Under new business the board approved the attached list of nonresident student transfers and authorized the 2025–26 athletic trainer contract; the motions were moved and seconded (Mr. Buckley moved; Mr. Deal seconded) and recorded as carried. The board completed its business and adjourned.
The approvals allow HR and payroll to proceed with hires and contract execution; the superintendent said staff will continue financial planning given the district’s longer-term revenue concerns raised earlier in the meeting.
