At its Aug. 26 meeting the Pinckneyville City Council approved several personnel actions.
Commissioner Kevin B. Hicks requested and the council approved promotions of Zack Kelly and Andrew Lipe to lieutenants in the Pinckneyville Fire Department. Commissioner Joshua L. Kuhnert moved to hire one part‑time employee for mowing and trimming at City Park; the motion passed unanimously. Separately, the council tabled the recommended hire for the wastewater operator position; no hire was made that evening.
The meeting minutes record the approvals and the tabling action but do not include job descriptions, salary or hourly rates, start dates, or the name of the wastewater applicant; those details were not read into the public record during the meeting.
