Hallock council approves city bills and adds deputy clerk to bank accounts

At the July 1 meeting the Hallock City Council authorized payment of city bills and payroll transfers and approved two resolutions to add Deputy Clerk Ericka Swanson to the city’s bank accounts.
Councilor Mike Totleben moved to authorize payment of city bills; the minutes list total check amounts of $156,555.66 and a payroll transfer covering wages, taxes and benefits of $56,518.57. Administrator Kendra Kroening presented the budget‑to‑actual report and highlighted higher operating expenses in Parks & Recreation, particularly the cost of running the pool. Councilor Kevin Waller said the pool is a community service the city provides and that the city does not expect it to be cost‑neutral.
Councilors also adopted Resolution 2024‑18 (American Federal Bank) and Resolution 2024‑19 (United Valley Bank) to add Deputy Clerk Ericka Swanson as an authorized signer; motions to adopt those resolutions were made and seconded during the meeting.
