Organizers tell Hanover EDA weekly 'Crow River Market' will open May 17; request outreach help

Kelly Baltzell and Elyse Philips introduced the Crow River Market to the City of Hanover Economic Development Authority on April 17 and invited the EDA to a ribbon-cutting on the market’s opening day.
"The new Crow River Market will be starting on Saturday, May 17th," said Kelly Baltzell. The organizers told the board the market will run on Saturdays between 8:00 a.m. and noon in the Hanover Elementary School parking lot and asked whether the EDA could share a business distribution list to help invite vendors and promote the opening.
City Administrator Jennifer Nash offered to post the market’s grand opening on the City’s Facebook page and suggested the I-94 Chamber of Commerce may have a more current distribution list for local businesses through its promotion and marketing functions. No formal request for funding or other EDA action was taken during the meeting.
Board members were invited to the ribbon-cutting at 7:45 a.m. on May 17 and encouraged to share the opening with local contacts.
Organizers that want more outreach were directed to coordinate with city staff and the chamber to reach vendors and residents ahead of the May opening.
