On First Fridays, members noted the town’s spring fling and the America 250 celebration in July and generally favored postponing regular First Friday events until after the night market is resolved, with potential First Friday events focused in August and September if budget and scheduling permit. No formal motion to approve the night market contract was taken; the promoter’s role and responsibilities must be defined in a future contract and the town must grant any required alcohol approvals.
Next steps: staff will continue contract negotiations with the promoter, clarify responsibilities for policing and facilities, and return a finalized contract and any required town approvals for board consideration.
