Silver Creek Township board approves Otto engineering contract and several maintenance expenditures

Chairman Mike Helman moved to approve using Otto for engineering services, with a cap of $30,000; Supervisor Andy Christensen seconded and the motion carried 3-0. The board also approved a motion by Helman to authorize up to $10,000 for repairs to the township loader, seconded by Christensen and carried 3-0. In a separate motion Helman moved to approve up to $500 to repair the hall video/audio system; Christensen seconded and the motion carried 3-0.
Earlier in the meeting, Supervisor Andy Christensen moved to approve the agenda (with the addition of the Olson liquor license to new business), the June 3, 2025 meeting minutes, and the list of disbursements; Supervisor Sandy Forsman seconded each motion and all carried 3-0. The board recorded an audit of claims listing charges from Cintas, Chamberlin Oil, Menards and TDS.
On old business, Christensen moved to continue using the Wright County Assessors for township assessment services; Forsman seconded and the motion carried 3-0. The board stated it will look into other options for assessment services in the future, but no change was made at this meeting.
The meeting concluded when Christensen moved to adjourn and Forsman seconded. The motion carried and the board adjourned the session.
