Hanover Park Board sets 2025 event dates, selects four summer concert nights

City Clerk Jenny Peterson told the board that the draft 2025 events calendar includes an Easter Egg Hunt on April 12, Kids Night on May 28 and Pumpkin Decorating on Oct. 25. Board members agreed to finalize specific times and other details at future meetings.
The board also reviewed a list of suggested bands that included Stimulus Package, Michael Handler Project, High 48, Shane Martin, Xpedition, JustUs, Monroe Crossing and the Mitch Gordon Band. Peterson said staff will contact the bands to gather pricing and availability. The board decided to schedule four concert nights in 2025 on June 11, July 9, July 23 and Aug. 20.
The decisions on dates were recorded as board consensus; no budgetary details or vendor contracts were discussed at the meeting. The board did not vote on individual band contracts during the session; staff follow-up will determine final bookings and any cost implications.
