Council approved an updated lease with WOW Internet, Cable and Phone for equipment housed at 145 Commerce Drive. Brandon explained the town has had a relationship with WOW for decades and that, under the lease, WOW provides no‑cost internet service to town facilities including town hall, police, court, the recreation department and the museum.
Brandon told council that WOW requested an update to allow extending service to the new Shamrock Park stage and the new public works building at Handley Park, and that the town's attorney (Mr. Davenport) had reviewed and suggested language that WOW incorporated.
Council moved, seconded and approved the updated lease by voice vote. Councilmembers said they had time to review the draft and had no further questions at the meeting.
