Administrators reported several program and student-support developments: a new occupational therapist and a functional life-skills teacher have started and the district is implementing co-treatment with speech and occupational therapy. The district also contracts with a licensed clinical social worker who performs formal evaluations before clinical services are added to IEPs.
Staff participated in state-run threat-assessment training and will complete online follow-up to set up behavioral assessments and social-emotional plans; administrators said this will guide future behavioral plans and supports. The food-service team reported February meal counts (3,632 breakfasts; 4,253 lunches), donated surplus milk to a local food pantry and arranged food-safety training for 27 staff members.
The district purchased 26 iPads for kindergarten through available funding, and students and teams earned regional recognitions in athletics and performing arts; the unified performing arts group placed runner-up regionally and the district will host a state choir festival later in March.
Administrators noted continued collaboration across districts for training and program-sharing and said they will continue to report progress to the board.
