Harmony EDA forwards draft agreement with Chamber and Visitor Center to City Council

At its Nov. 7 meeting the Harmony Economic Development Authority reviewed a draft agreement intended to formalize shared tasks among the City of Harmony, the Harmony EDA, the Harmony Chamber of Commerce and the Harmony Visitor and History Center, and voted to forward the draft to the City Council for further discussion.
Erica Thilges presented the Chamber report, noting successful fall activities and plans for winter events and the Chamber’s annual meeting on Jan. 21. The draft agreement, described to the board as setting out work and task responsibilities among the three entities, prompted no objections on first view. Board member Steve Donney moved to bring the contract to the City Council for further discussion; Kerry Kingsley seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Kingsley offered public thanks to Thilges and Amy Bishop for their work with the Chamber. The EDA did not adopt or sign the agreement at the Nov. 7 meeting; the item was forwarded to the City Council for action or further negotiation.
