At the Sept. 23 meeting the Harris Planning Commission discussed whether to adopt an ordinance regulating short-term rentals such as Airbnb or VRBO and decided that an ordinance is not needed.
Commissioners spoke briefly on the question and concluded existing regulations or no change is sufficient at this time; no motion to draft an ordinance was recorded.
The commission may revisit the issue if circumstances change or if specific complaints prompt further action.
