Planning Commission tables review of sample ADU ordinance pending revisions

The Harris Planning Commission on Sept. 23 tabled review of a sample accessory dwelling unit ordinance after commissioners found the draft did not include changes previously discussed.
City Planner Claire Stickler was not present but had provided a sample ADU ordinance for the commission to review. Commissioners said the sample lacked elements they had agreed on at a prior meeting; the commission asked City Clerk Shannon Geier to send Stickler the minutes and the meeting recording that captured the previously discussed changes. No formal revisions were adopted at the Sept. 23 meeting.
The item will return when an updated ordinance that reflects the commissioners’ prior direction is circulated for further review and possible action.
